Handsome figure of two Staffordshire Cavalier King Charles Spaniels and a barrel. c. mid-1800s. Dogs have red / russet detailed colouring, barrel is in tan. Sweet, expectant expressions on both dog's faces.  Lovely hand painted brushwork on each dog's coat.  A very lovely example of Victorian ephemera.  Made in Staffordshire, England.  


8.5" H by 6" W by 2" D


This item is in good antique condition. Some worn paintwork especially on the spaniel's noses and on some of the detailing on the barrel. There are some hairline cracks on the back, as well as crazing throughout, potentially from the firing process. Please review the pictures as they form an integral part of this listing.
